GEOCRIS focuses on the prevention of terrorism by providing the tools necessary for state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers and other security personnel to understand, detect patterns of behavior which could lead to acts of terrorism in the United States by both international and domestic, or homegrown, terrorists. Although tactical and law enforcement skills are paramount, suspect behavioral and recognition skills can prevent a potential terrorist act before it happens. Law Enforcement, Airport and Security Personnel more than ever, must be prepared to meet the challenges of terrorist activities presented in today’s evolving culture.
