A Revolution in Officer and Public Safety
Officer Safety – The MobileSpike is the safest vehicle disablement system available for three very important reasons:
- The disablement of the suspect vehicle is done from within the safety of the cruiser. The officer is protected by the same 4000 lb steel cage they trust their safety to, day in and day out.
- Pure Speed. In 6-8 seconds, you can get the job done with the MobileSpike.
- One officer is all you need. No need for large multiple unit coordinated efforts just to disable a single vehicle.
Risk Management – Fewer units to disable suspect represents a dramatic decrease in exposure, thereby translating to lower risk.
Cost Savings – “It costs us between $3,200 – $7,400 to fix a vehicle after a P.I.T.” – This is just one of the comments we hear associated with cost. The MobileSpike can pay for itself the first time you push the button.
The MobileSpike uses two very important technologies
- Pre-existing Technology Police have been deflating tires for decades. It is a proven, effective technology.
- Pre-existing Training
- The MobileSpike uses the same set-up as the P.I.T. This makes the MobileSpike training second nature to many police officers.

With the push of a button, you have the power to disable a vehicle without leaving the safety of yours.
The MobileSpike system allows a law enforcement officer to push a button and disable a nearby vehicle by deflating its tire from the safety of their vehicle.
The entire disablement process takes as little as six seconds from start to finish.
Because the device is on a moving vehicle, an additional officer isn’t required to determine where the pursuit is going and set up the spikes on an intercepting path. This frees up that officer to join in the pursuit or take other appropriate actions.
Officer safety is enhanced since the officer has the added security of being protected by the safety devices in their squad car like seat belts and air bags, unlike an officer who is on foot during a hand deployment of a deflation device.
