Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Security
John acquired 25 years of experience in the supply chain industry while working for United Parcel Service, the world’s largest package delivery company. During his 25 years at United Parcel Service, John managed Delivery Operations, worked in Industrial Engineering, managed several Human Resources Departments, was involved in Labor Relations with the Teamsters and managed several Risk Management Departments.
While working for a company that owned one of the largest airlines in the world, operated a fleet of over 120,000 vehicles and employed over 320,000 employees, John worked closely with many Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies. Several of these agencies are:
- Federal Aviation Administration
- Department of Transportation
- Environmental Protection Agency
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration
- California Occupational Safety and Health Administration
- Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
- Department of Labor
As the Risk Manager for the Pacific Region, a region with 21,000 employees, John was responsible for the safety of employees and the security of approximately 800,000 packages that moved through the system each day.
While working in the Chicago area, John managed a team of 170 employees that provided Risk Management and Human Resources services for the North Central Region. During this time, the North Central Region had 26,000 employees that operated the Rockford Air Operation, 23 sorting facilities in four states and the largest package sorting facility in the world.
John also managed Risk Management and Human Resources Departments in Los Angeles, New Jersey, New York and Hawaii.
While based in Phoenix, John managed several Delivery Operations that provided pickup and delivery service in the Phoenix area. He also managed a team of supervisors in the Industrial Engineering Department that provided Operation Managers with plans designed to increase productivity and reduce cost through job analysis and application of work measurement standards. For 2 years, John managed the Risk Management Department for the Arizona District.
